I often find myself scrolling through delicious food Instagram accounts and wishing I had the time or even knew how to make all of the heavenly recipe's. I have found this amazing, filling and yummy recipe that not only looks like it came off of an Instagram food blog but tastes sensational as well, and not to mention tasks little time to prepare. I don't know about you but I am not a chef over here, but I can make this meal taste pretty darn amazing with only a few ingredients and steps.
Sweet potato fries, snacks have become ever so popular and for a good reason. Sweet potato's are very nutritious and are an excellent source of vitamin C and A, they are also high in vitamin b6. Everyone needs to incorporate some sort of carb source in each meal to allow their body to reach it's full expenditure, have energy without the day and be able to feel full and satisfied. Sweet potatoes are a fantastic carb source and great to add to meals or have for an entire meal. There are so many ways to eat and cook sweet potato, here are a few to look in too.
This meal is so simple and what I love most about it is that you can add any topping you would like to it. I'll let you in on a few of my favorites to try out for yourself. This meal is great if you're cooking for many kids or friends, everyone can customize their own sweet potato like they would a homemade pizza.
Step1: preheat your oven to 400 degrees F for 45 minutes
Step2: poke holes with a fork on top of the sweet potato and rub olive oil, coconut oil etc on the potato.
Step3: Leave to cool for around 10-15 minutes, slice the potato in half and start adding your toppings!
Toppings I like to add:
1: Avocado mashed or make a homemade guacamole
2: Black beans, Kidney beans OR homemade chili
3: Sautéed kale or spinach
6:Vegan Cheese/Vegan sour cream
8:Spices! Cheyenne Pepper, Himalayan s ea salt, cumin
